Corporate Head Office

Sun Siyam Resorts' Corporate Office is located in Malé, the capital city of the Maldives, with a regional office in Colombo, Sri Lanka, along with global PR and sales representatives. With over 500 employees in various departments, our Corporate Offices provide strategic direction for the company and support global resort operations.

 

Resorts

Depending on the location, our operational divisions may include front office, rooms, food and beverage, spa and fitness, recreation (including diving and water sports), HR and training. Familiarity with the entire operation will help you understand how the roles within each division work together to provide impeccable service.

    Responsibilities

    Marketing

    • To create a 'corporate' online/offline marketing strategy and implementation plan for the resort, working with managers and colleagues to identify future opportunities for brand/product enhancement
    • To deliver marketing campaigns for all business areas in partnership with managers and colleagues. Ensure relevant coordination across the brand in line with Corporate Plan.
    • To work with colleagues to develop marketing collaterals, tendering opportunities and brand awareness.
    • To take responsibility for PR & Marketing events/activities and maximizing opportunities for communications activity
    • To monitor member and partner satisfaction through market research and feedback and identify actions and campaigns to enhance review collection and feedback wherever possible
    • To act as the custodian for the Brand
    • Drafting content and proof read (e.g. press releases, newsletters and in house collaterals)
    • Conduct marketing research and report on its findings, together with the PR team

     

    PR

    • To identify press/news opportunities both internally and externally, work with the different departments to create news/offerings
    • To keep a diary of press communications activity
    • To develop corporate messages and disseminate proactively
    • To host all PR, press and social media trips and ensure that maximum exposure is taken
    • To evaluate and track ROI of all related PR activities
    • Organize and plan events, conferences and press trips

     

    Social Media

    • Day-to-day management and execution of social media campaigns
    • Monitor and measure the growth of the community and analyze and report on effectiveness of new initiatives
    • Collect, monitor and distribute social media metrics on a weekly basis
    • Review and edit social content posted in various channels to highlight, tag and link for maximum visibility
    • Strategize a Content Strategy and Operations to further enhance our partners and our social media presence
    • Ensure content is fitting and relevant
    • Survey social media at regular intervals throughout the day to stay apprised of content and social media developments of interest to target audience
    • Publish daily content updates and/or actionable items (conversation starters, partner links, etc.) on Facebook & Twitter accounts across the network
    • Engage with social media by engaging with comments, @ mentions and tags
    • Execute actions and tactics to build audience, followers, and subscribers
    • Look at trending content and discover social opportunities to drive traffic
    • To develop new plans and be on top of all social media changes daily, try and test out new social media tools
    • Seek opportunities to improve the use of social media and develop 'followers' and achieve monthly set targets
    • To enhance ways of guest and employee interaction on social media channels
    • To evaluate and track ROI of all related Social Media campaigns and provide reports

     

    Competencies for success

    • Excellent communication and writing skills – must be proficient with multiple modes of communication, from email to phone to public speaking and presentations
    • Proficiency with social and web analytics preferred
    • Passion for social networking and digital media
    • Track record of creating quality content online
    • Background in journalism, social media, or PR/marketing
    • Proficiency in Arabic OR Chinese preferred (written and spoken)

    Competencies for success

    • Graduate of Human Resources
    • Work experience on the same position of not less than 2 years in a luxury resort
    • Excellent knowledge of Maldives Labour Law, work permit processing and employee relations
    • Training background (optional)
    • Excellent knowledge of Fusion system
    • Knowledgeable about payroll process
    • People management skills
    • Willing to be relocated 
    • Has positive and “can do” attitude and good communication skills
    • Excellent in English both written and oral
